Description
A high quality French gilt brass gorge cased carriage clock with bevelled glasses and a large viewing glass to the top. An excellent clean white enamel dial with Roman numerals signed “Dent of Paris” with alarm subsidiary dial below and finished with original finely blued steel “Breguet” style hands.
The 8-day striking, repeating movement with an option of an alarm is finished with the original silvered Swiss lever platform escapement. The clock strikes the hours to a bell, with a single strike on the half-hour. The alarm works off the same bell with a separate hammer.
A beautiful little clock of great quality.
