A standard French 8-day movement that strikes the hours and half hours on a bell, via a count-wheel. Brocot in the dial above the 12 o’clock position allows the fine regulation of the pendulum. The movement stamped GE.V on the backplate.
White enamel 4.5” dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minutes on just the quarters. Matching, finely pierced, gilded brass hands.
The case is of red marble, profusely decorated with ormolu swags, cock-beading and a finely cast bezel.
