Description
A remarkably large drumhead Dial Clock
An 8-day fusee line driven movement with knopped pillars and shaped plates. The impressive 17” painted dial, marked with the Royal Cypher for Edward VII and roman numerals, having its original blued steel hands with the minute hand being counter-poised is all protected by a large key locked cast brass bezel.
The case is 19 ¾” or 50cm in diameter and is mahogany veneered with an access door to the rear and three other locked doors. There are signs of the clock being in the main hall at the foreign office.
A rather special clock in its own right.
