In a nice small elegant oak case of good proportions with fine frets to the swan neck pediments. The brass dial has a silvered chapter ring with both Roman and Arabic numerals, seconds subsidiary, crest box calendar and cartouche signed Lau Dalgliesh of Edinburgh with brass spandrels, matted centre and original finely blued steel hands. Inside there is a quality 8-day duration striking movement that strikes the hours to a bell.
