Description

This clock is made to a very high standard. It has all the characteristics of a Mudge and Dutton, but without the signature to accompany it. The fine mahogany case with wonderful proportions, the bracket feet and handle still with the original gilding.

The dial is stylistically ever so similar to Mudge and Dutton being a full sheet circular engraved silvered dial and subsidiary with the engraved roman numerals, date subsidiary above VI and signed “Baker, London” below XII with the original fine blued steel hands.

The clock movement also signed “Baker, London” on the back plate is a substantial twin fusee clock with anchor escapement of 8-day duration.

 

Height: 14 ½” or 16 ½” with handle up.
