A RARE BAROGRAPH – F. ROBSON OF NEWCASTLE

Description

This is a very rare barograph retailed by F. Robson, 45, Dean Street, Newcastle-on-Tyne with eight cylinder movement, spare papers and complete with original glass dome.

These instruments were usually made by J. Hicks of Hatton Garden, London just prior to WW1.

The history of F. Robson dates back to Victorian Era Newcastle, where Frederick Robson established F. Robson & Co. on Dean Street in 1867 until moving to 16 Pilgrim Street where it remains as an opticians today.
