Description
The twin chained fusee movement with maintaining power and English under-slung lever escapement is of 8-day duration, striking the hours and the half hour on a gong and is accompanied by the clocks original key.
The engine turned case, still with its original mercurial gilding is in a very good condition. The silvered engine turned dial is engraved with roman numerals and finely blued steel Breguet style hands accompanied by two further subsidiary dials below showing the date and days of the week.
The characteristics of the whole clock is reminiscent of Breguet, however the clock is not signed anywhere.
