A quality 8-day timepiece movement, with chain fusee, an anchor escapement and a London-style pendulum. The back plate is engraved ‘Dent, 4 Royal Exchange, Cornhill’ and also features a pendulum lock for use when transporting the clock.
Silvered brass dial similarly signed Dent, 4 Royal Exchange, with engraved Roman numerals and floral swags to the corners, all within a silvered mask. Original non-matching blued steel hands.
The case of dark satinwood features glass to the front, back, sides and top, and locking doors.
