Lions Eyes Automata Longcase Clock by Vurley of Wisbech
This fantastic longcase certainly is a talking point that catches most peoples attention, in the break arch of the 12” painted dial there is an amusing picture of a lion eating its prey, the deer, whist the lions eyes go back and forth.
The substantial movement is of 8 day duration with its original brass hands, striking the hours on a bell. The oak case is of good proportions and boasts its original pagoda with mahogany cross banding.
